The Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University, with The Parasitology and Tropical Medicine Association of Thailand and The International Federation for Tropical Medicine, hosted its 20th edition of International Congress for Tropical Medicine and Malaria (ICTMM 2020), with the theme: “Stamping out Tropical Diseases: The Countdown Begins” last October 24-28, 2022 at the Bangkok International Trade and Centre in Thailand. ICTMM is one of the largest tropical medicine conferences in the world, bringing together thousands of researchers, experts, policy-makers, stakeholders, and international authorities in the field of tropical medicine and malaria.

Dr. Windell L. Rivera represented the Pathogen-Host-Environment Interactions Research Laboratory (PHEIRL) to present the research project poster entitled, “A simplified MLST scheme for direct typing of Leptospira spp. From clinical samples”. Mr. Christian Jordan O. Dela Rosa and Ms. Daile Membreve, Ph.D. dissertation students of Dr. Rivera, also presented their research projects in the conference.
